What's going on with this seedling?

This is a wipeout express already 10 days in. Obviously very slow growing but also the abnormal growth is looking bad so far. Thoughts?

Grow So High

It looks fine to me, what’s your humidity? The outer edge of the soil looks a bit dry. Roots won’t grow in dry soil so make sure when you water you get the whole pot even if your plant is small and then let it completely dry out before watering again. Some plants start slow

Heyy check it out lol, I have one similar but it has a little more growth. Both pants in the pic started at the same time.

Then again these were bagseeds that I’ve had laying around. If anything my best guess with these kinds of seedlings is either an incomplete genetic pattern caused by a harvest that was too early or major stunted growth. I’ve read up on some forums that if the water ph is too acidic, it can cause mutations and of course iron toxicity. If your environment and soil are good, there should be no other reason why it grows like that, I could be wrong but these are just my opinions, I’ve only had two seedlings that came out like my abnormal one and even after a month, the plants barely exceeded two inches. I water with a ph of 6.5 and both plants in the first pic I provided are growing under the same conditions. As for the paper towel wrapped around one of them, I did this a couple minutes ago to soak up some excess water. I would just be patient and see how things look in another week or so unless you know one of your key elements are off.

I've had seedlings look like that from starting them in soil that was too hot. Some soil is notoriously inconsistent batch to batch such as Ocean Forest. It's a good soil but can be too hot for seedlings. As they get bigger they'll should get better and in a couple weeks you won't even know. What brand of soil are you using?

I'm using foxfarm which has been consistently good for me in the past. Humidity is between 35 and 50.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a recovery. Definitely not giving up. But the little leaf growth on one side is funny looking and the other is crinkly looking. Little leaf grew a bit more today :)

I'm pretty strict about ph between 6.4 and 6.5 throughout. I will keep an eye on it and post more pics as it goes either way

Odd leaf growth “ could “ be a result from hotter mix , but FFOF does temper some seedling growth until it gets fully acclimated to it.
Give it some time , watch watering ( overwater ) and it will adjust to its medium on its on time.

Aside from the weird leaf shape it looks sturdy and healthy. Looks like nodes are already popping up on the lowest branch against the stem??
