What's next?

After sitting on the window sill I think it is time to upgrade my set up.

This is the farthest I've come so far so what should I do next?

what light should I buy? / how long on and how long off

And I'm thinking of just a bucket in the closest with the light over it, any other ideas?

Pics included :hump:

Remember the more light the better, but it depends on your budget. A CFL for Veg and maybe switch to a HPS for flowering. don't use a pot to small it will affect the yield. The CFL doesnt produce a lot of heat well not as much as the HPS. You will need plently of fresh air and a good extractor fan to exchange the air. Also take in account the smell the plants will produce, you may need a scrubber. Check out these vids http://www.marijuanapassion.com/Readfy_Set_Grow.html.

During the veg (approx first 4 weeks) you keep the light on for 18 hours and off for 6. When you switch to flowering change the light to 12on and 12 off.

good luck

It will be fine for a couple more days while the plant stiffens up but you need to get at least a 150w hps if you want decent buds.

Ok ok where can I get a 150w hps and will that work from veg to flowering to everything?

As a new grower, I very strongly recommend you stick with CFL's. You can buy them anywhere and they do not emit a great deal of heat. I'm growing under 6 CFL's (2x2700k and 4x6500k). The 2700 and 6500 are the light temperatures and the more watts per bulb you can get the better. I noticed your single lamp is a decent distance from your plant, try to keep them less than 3" from your foliage. As you can see my set up is a little crowded at the moment but as soon as the plants are sexed I should have 3 females under my 6 CFL's.

Those 6 cfls also consume more wattage for the amount of light they put out. Not knocking CFLs but lumens per wattage the HPS will win and a 150w HPS won't put out that much heat. Add up how many watts your using with all your CFLs, then figure out the Lumen output. CFLs aren't that efficient, just convenient to buy.
