What's really happening with Fukushima?

Not sure what to believe anymore.

I was vehemently against David Suzuki's hysteria producing, pseudo-science based rant, but new evidence keeps pouring in suggesting this disaster is a lot worse than (most) people thought.

Levels of radiation reached new highs @ the site recently, high enough levels that 20 mins exposure would mean death. There's also a strong correlation between new diseases, animal mutations and the death and destruction of countless species in the Pacific Ocean.

Hello Beefbisquit..

I worry about that because I make a living on the pacific ocean..I think it is no doubt very bad..I would like to see that same meter on the east coast so there would be a comparison of the two oceans on the beach..

Having a brother that is a civil and works on designing nukes is terrifying. It isn't over by a long shot.

It is far away in another country and you can do absolutely nothing about it.

Maybe spend some time on shit you can change.

The Japanese are nuking us back, and this will turn out to be far worse than anything we did in 1947...
Never thought of it that way, kinda funny.

I don't expect the full effects of this to be seen or felt for another 10 to 20 years. Maybe longer.

Chernobyl was nothing compared to this.

I watched The City of Life and Death, last night. Mercifully, in black and white. It is the story, with no punches held, of the Rape of Nanking.

So, we must remind ourselves as trick as this analogy is, the Japanese deserved far worse than they got, to only be nuked twice.

More were killed at Nanking, by far. Murdered and worse. And least the epicenter citizens never knew what hit them. And the short terms survivors only thought they had been burned. Nanking was systematic horror that made the Death Camps of Hitler look tame.

Good movie. Check it out! :)

Do you ever say anything useful, or are you here simply to spout negative shit on every thread you enter?

I also wasn't aware that in order to have an interest in something ('something' being one of the largest disasters in histor that threatens the entire planet no less), I had to be actively working in that geographic area to change the effects of said disaster.

If you're not interested in discussing it, then fuck off and leave the thread.

Simple.

If only most of Uncle Bucks cohorts would follow this advice.
