Whats the best nutrient line?

Can't go wrong with Jacks. Won't be bothered by expensive liquid nutes again. Brewing teas just led to uneven fertilizing sometimes burning plants. Switched from fox farms and been trouble free since.
Add some molasses for happy beneficial mycros and I do use a bit of cal/mag if necessary. A bit of silica seems to encourage stronger stems, but this is an unscientific observation. I pretty much follow uncle ben as he hasn't steered me (or anyone for that matter) wrong.
 
Blue Planet Nutrients - no doubt!

I've used Fox and didn't like the calcium deficiencies, so switched to GH and that was pretty good. My buddy hooked me up with AN and I cant tell which one I liked more, they were about the same I'd say. Then my buddy (who gave me the AN) found a company called Blue Planet Nutrients. These guys were selling gallons for super cheap of some 3-part. Within 2 weeks his garden was a fricken jungle. I never would have expected some low price nutes would out perform GH and AN. So I got the 3-part organic for my soil garden and had an insane harvest. I never pushed numbers like that before. I was hooked on BPN. Now I'm doing DWC with their synthetic 3-part plus a bloom booster called Liquid Blue. Gonna try their High Yield System on my next order. Its similar to ANs grand wizard kit but for about 300 bucks cheaper, better nutes too. Skip any trial and error and go for the CNS17!
I've been running it for the past year with great success. I've used Advance Nutrients and Botanicares PBP formula years prior. I hated paying for 6+ bottles of various components that they make you feel like you need especially if you strive for perfection. After forking over the $$$ your required to mix several bottles at various concentrations depending on the stage of growth. It quickly became more like a hassle and a chore and less about enjoying providing the level of care my plants needed and deserved.
Now that I'm using a very affordable 3 part formula, feeding time and handing over my hard earned money became less of burden and more of a pleasure again.
Had I known what I know now I would have skipped my years of trial and error and saved some money but sometimes moments like those allow us to grow and learn as individuals.
 
In my experience the BioCanna products and budswel liquid guano combined with enriched soil works great. Real sweet fruity flavor that sticks to the mouth.

Actually, neither are soil. If you grow in pro mix it is, technically, drain to waste hydroponics. Pro mix is sphagnum moss and perlite, a soilless mix.
As far as ferts go, I'm happy with PBP, Cal-Mag, Liquid Karma, Sweet (raw), and GH Kool Bloom. I used to use GH 3-part...well, I used the Lucas formula so I only used the micro and bloom.
 
I did days of research . the best nuts are the ones I made . home made blend . does not matter the brand. they are all the same. and add benefit bacteria . the bacteria is the major importance of huge yield .double your yield just from adding it ! one grower might use mj and get a better looking plant then using advanced line. I like . eddies hydroponics cheap and they have a shit tune of options from early flower to med flower to late flower when you pump the nuts to the insane level. my advice is to look at the 3 number in a fertilizer and under stand when and how hard you want to push them. I could tell you my formula. and your plants may dye in 2 days. I push the ppm up to 1500ppm at times. if your looking for a no brainer then go with advanced or earth juice . or heavy 16. but with out making your own your yield will never be as large as home made.
 
I have had good results with Fox Farm trio in FFOF with their soluble bloom boosters and Happy Frog granular 5-5-5. I also use Hygrozyme, Great White, Botanicare's Cal Mag and Pure Tea Blend. I also use only rain water and I have never PH'd anything.
 
forget nutrients brands , look for content and dosage. choose the brands that offer u the most cost-effective nutrients for MJ purpose.

If your a newb like me, i would recomed fox farms line, just because its easy as hell. once you master your craft, i would switch to advanced nutrients, there pricey and so many different additives, but i heard its the best. juust for pros..............also once your chose your nute line, theres other products you can ad, my favorite is super thrive, and you can add black strap mollasses during last 4 weeks of flowering.

I started on Fox farms. Was pretty good stuff, but didn't have enough nitrogen flower, and could easily cause salt build up to occur.
No one is using advanced nutrients if they are a pro. An honest Pro buys bags of high-grade fertilizer. Otherwise to be getting raped worse than the average closet grower is on a bunch of water down notes
Learn plant biology and how to identify the plants needs. For fertilizer spend $30 on a large tub of jacks citrus or classic
 
I grow organically with Biobizz andget great results from soil to Heaven it's excellent. May try brewing my own tea on mynext grow. BTTW got ww, special kush 2, cotton candy and an unknown sativa.
 
I recently bought a 8 ounce bottle of Dynagro Grow Formula (7-9-5 + micronutrients Including Calcium and Magnesium) and my peppers, lavender, basil, and RIUs favorite plant have already shown a world of difference. The price for Dynagro may seem expensive, but keep in mind a person only needs to use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water at most, so a small unit goes a long way.

FF and AN are both good products, but they are "Not the Shit"...There is no such beast, there is no magic bullet. Learning what they need in the right amounts at the right time is what is needed to know to make ANY of these products work. When I set up a "new" grower I recommend a 3 part system, just for ease of use, I say that when they understand what and why, then they can choose to look elsewhere because you will know what to look for. Don't be fooled by the hype if you want ease of use they are great but cost more than you need. Everyone weighs their situations differently, buying instead of mixing is just another choice we make. It's definitely potent stuff making any size bottle you buy last a very long time.

Why do three? That's actually complicating things when for a soil or in my case Happy Frog which isn't a true soil being mostly humus and perlite (I usually further cut Happy Frog 65/35 Perlite)
. In many instances a full inclusive fertilizer works well. I'd probably suggest having cal/mag on hand depending on strain. You can make things as simple or as complicated as you wish. For hydro you can get away with a two part solution.

Sadly your telling everyone they are not pro's if this or that? Looks to me you need to do a business plan. You would soon realize price is not always the issue, Most larger grows and hot houses make decisions based on the bottom line. Cost is relevant to profit. I know a dozen greenhouses that produce strictly tomatoes and ALL nutrients are used...including AN. It all depends on the set up and output. All products are not solely based on plant genetics anymore, its Big Business. Do you buy vegetables from a big box store? Chances are you have eaten a tomatoes pulled from hydro and AN products. You have to realize 60%+ of tomatoes are produced in this manner. JAS

Basically three parts can be used in a number of different applications and ratio's, depending on the situations. Varying combinations of the three will allow a better dial in for your specific strains requirements. 2 Parts work very well also but I recommend 3 part for flexibility and cost. JAS

Look, I am not a pro. Simply a Gardner, which is something I've been doing for many years prior to cannabis growing. The term pros is professional growers who's livelihood depends on their crops. This is not cannabis specific.

If anyone is using AN to grow tomatoes in a greenhouse they are throwing away money. Those would be some expensive tomatoes.

You've admitted in previous posts to having a connection to AN. Always good to disclose such things, but that shows a bias.

I know exactly how much my crops cost from start to finish. I know my lighting expense, fertilizer expense, and also my time. The goal is to maximize my output while lowering my cost. AN would only increase my expenditure while not out performing my current setup.

To each their own, not trying to start shit with you, I think you provide valuable info from time to time. Yet I must object to claims I can view as patently untrue.

Eta I also know my electical expenses concerning my fans, and cloning setup.
