whats the best temp for flowering an unknown strain??

im at 74 degrees with lights on right now.

^^^ as he said 74F is fine. If that's your temp when the lights are on what are your temps with lights off? the bottom side of the temp range is around 65F. make sure it doesn't get colder than this with lights off.

i have a heater set to 71 or 72 the lights make it 73 or 74 so i think thats good right?

Yeah thats great. Temps open or close the stomata (mouths) on the underneath of the leafs.

and i heard after 80 degrees plants dont grow they just sweat is this true??

no it can go up to around 85 degrees and thats fine. higher than this and the growth will slow down
