hey hey fellow growers.so i have finally aquired some good seed(17 white russians).im going to grow them outdoors and hopfully they will be ready with only 3 months.
so my simple question is what is the best germination method what has the highest sucsess %.the seeds only need water, dark place in a warm environment and some time to spout their cases open.Im thinking of putting them into a jug of water for 24h and yhen placing them into the moist towelpaper.what do you think about that?????

I take a small plate...a bunch of paper towel...and seeds. Fold the paper towel several times so that there is a thick layer above and below the beans...get very wet...keep in a dark closet in the highest room in your place/house. Most will pop within 30 hours...a few might require 48-60 hours. Add water if paper towel dries out.

i've always given em a soak in a glass of water for 12 hrs at 25c, then in paper towels at same temp. Beans have always sprouted within 24hrs

I take some toilet paper or a paper towel. (I have not noticed chlorine or chemical free making a difference) Fold it over on itself until its about 5 inchs wide and 3 tall, then drop my seeds in making sure none are touching and fold the paper towel over twice and put it into a ziplock bag which then goes next to my fishtank (always 87 degrees) Heck I suppose I could drop the zip lock bag INTO the fish tank and get slightly better results from the higher heat.

Tried and true, paper towels and just keep em wet.

thanks for all the posters.
keep up the good work ya all....
My 2 seeds have now had 48 hours in a moist environment in the dark in a warm room but nothing yet. However it does look like it's got fatter and darkened in colour. No idea what that means but will just keep hoping for a shoot to come out of it.

I just use a clean white paper towel that has been soaked in distilled water, wrung out and folded over the seeds, all inside an oven bag full of air. Keep it in a warm and dark place, ideally about 80 degrees F .

Two days later, viola! legs.
