Like a party cup? Could keep a plant in one forever with healthy roots if you bonsai properly. Straight growing, I've seen plants flowered in those cups but the yields are pretty bad. Wouldn't go over a month myself in one of those cups and that would be pushing it. (I sprout in those cups for about 1 week of growth before transplant. At that time roots still have plenty of space to occupy.)

I appreciate the advice. I have obe blooming in there right now. Just started the cycle. I have 3 plants that I would say have just started their vegetative stage. Roots at bottom of solo cups, but not coming out of the hole (good tip btw, makes sense). I just gave them nutrients for the first time yesterday and they are under the T5.

I find that after 2-3 weeks that the roots have reached the bottom of the party cup and it is time for transplanting.
