Whats the deal with Aeroponic systems?

Every Aeroponic system i've seen have the pots too close to each other. In my experience with other growing methods, soil, hydro, etc., to grow a plant to a good size requires an ample amount of space.

How are we suppposed to grow full size plants in an aeroponic system when one pot is only inches away from another?

Two things I think:

1. Those systems are desogned with a bias toward small plant sog type grows

2. The illusion of growing more plants probably sells more units to peoplewho don't know what they are doing.

i think yo're right on both accounts IS

in regard to the SOG, most comercial guys using that type of setup will throw baby but healthy clones straight into them and 12/12 them pronto as opposed to vegging up some massive bushes.

at 12 good size plants, from what i've seen (i went through each type of hydro system that wold suite my needs) it's gonna cost a lot of money. unless you're handy and can look at plans and replicate them yourself from DIY stores
