What's the difference (source?) - DownToEarth brand fish bone meal has 2 versions to chose from

Was looking at fish bone meal and noticed Down To Earth offers two different versions with different NPK values (3-16-0 vs 4-12-0). I'm assuming this means the source is different but they both just state 'fish bone meal' with nothing detailed.

So when considering the choices - aside from NPK - why would I pick one versus the other? Anyone know the scoop here?

Looking to refresh some soil in a SIP, needing a dash of N so was considering the 4 over the 3 as my other inputs would cover things well enough for P&K.

I thought that you were using Malibu compost for a topdressing. Just for a reference, I had Bu's compost tested from Soil Savvy(solubility test). I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything, just trying to help. I know that every bag of Malibu compost is not going to test the same and I could be getting mine from the Texas branch and you could be getting it from the West coast branch etc.. I really think that the cows were getting salt lick or something, I was having sodium issues mixing it into my soil. I expected more N from Malibu too.

Yeah they're both fish bone meals, I too thought perhaps old version -vs- new version but their website lists both as 'equals' it looks. Not like one replaced the other. My assumption is that the source input is what varies here - and of course I'd like to know which is which so I can research if there's any benefit of one vs the other.

I had used some Bu's last time around and will probably mix in a tad bit again this time with some EWC. I'll probably send off my soil test here in the next day or two to figure out what inputs I truly need but was doing some homework in advance since I had read some good things around fbm.
