Whats the formula for determining your energy bill?

Based on how many 1000 hps lights you have up, how many hours they are on per day, the rate the electric company charges, etc, you should be able to work out what your monthly bill will be. Anybody know how?

I'm thinking of about 10 k hps to start and the cost of electricity is going to be a major expense .... just don't know how major yet.

Ok we will use my power companies rate for after first ten kwh. which is.10. ten 1000 watters will actually use the equivelent of 11000 watts due to the ballasts and im guessing pumps fans ect...i wont even add AC but guessing you will need it. ok so 12000 watts an hour is 12 kwh. 12 hours a day makes this 144 kwh each day. With 30 days in a month this is like 4320 kwh a month.you multiply that by .10 (or whatever yu are charged) which means 432 dollars a month just for your grow. Or if say its .15 a kwh thats 648 a month.

If you are not in a commercial zone expect the power company to investigate this much powe
