What are you trying to ask exactly?

flowering a plant that has no hairs??

of course it doesn't have any hairs yet.. it hasn't been flowering yet.

A plant won't get any hairs or preflowers.. until you change the light cycle to 12/12. (or 11/13; 10/14)

Also, there's no such thing as "flowering too early".

You can flower a plant straight from seed if you so choose to do so.. which means you give the plant no veg time at all.

You run the lights on 12/12 from seed. Can't get any easier than that..

hope you understand what I'm trying to teach you here.. if not.. well then your on your own.

good luck.

Plants in veg will sometimes start to show hairs when they are reaching maturity. I had my Afghan Kush plants on veg for over 2 months and they were showing hairs by 1-1/2 months. But most of the time you need to induce flowering to sex them. You can flower anytime you want though just as ganjaluvr said above.

well everyone has different strains and they react differently with light schedules and maturation
autoflowers wont need any light changes
where as most will require you to switch to a minimum of 12 hours of light and 12 of dark in order to see those hairs.....which comes before buds flowering

Usually all of my clones show hairs during veg. And when I switch to 12/12 they blast off.

I don't grow from bongsmilie seed.

just my $ 0.02 :joint::peace:

the chances are they have come from a mature mother 8+weeks old which is showing signs of sex

Mine were femenized seeds so that may have something to do with it showing hairs in veg as well...

I tried cloning two weeks into flower, and failed miserably. Do you do anything special?
I take my clones at about 3+ weeks into flower and put them in "rooting cubes" inside a humidity dome with 2 X 13 watt CFL's and a heating pad under it. I also use clonex after I cut them.

Nothing special, just spray them to keep them going. Takes a couple of weeks. I've lost a few, but most survived. :joint::peace:

Doesn't that produce mutant plants? You're taking clones from flowering plants, which means flowering clones, and then reverting back to Veg? So far what i've read whilst researching says it's never a good idea to do this.

do you re veg them or just let them root under 12/12?

J
I usually veg them another month after I root them, to around 2 feet. That gives me about 2 1/2 to 3 oz per plant.

I am now flowering another batch which I cut to 12/12 after 1 week. They are doing well but not like I vegged for a month.

I had to cut the veg short because of an upcoming vacation.

BTW - Just got back and got my Medical Card renewed bongsmilie
