What's Up?

Sup, just started getting into growing, been to the site alot so i figured it was a good idea to become a member, i got a 2x2x5.6 foot grow tent sporting a 250w hps/mh convertible lamp with a 171 cfm fan sucking the heat right outta it, figured it was the best i could do for the amount of space i have to work with, im currently on plant #3 1 of which was male 2 others turned out female, ill have pics of that later, have a good day everyone ! pleasure to be part of the site.

Welcome on RIU and good luck with you re first grow, so far sound like you have thing set up fine. The fan is good for the space you got. Light is fine. (upgrade to 400 or 600) after 1 or 2 harvest (worth the upgrade) and you could still use the 250 as MH for veg (you could make a small veg room) to avoid losing 1month veg every run and make it perpetual grow

If you are using soil as grow medium i would suggest you to start them in 1gal then move em in 3 gal and finish them in 5gal if you got the space for it

well my lil bro (brotherly hobby? haha) has the veg room, hes got some rediculously big CFL(250w i beleive?), which works well for what we are doing, then if the grow needs more light and my ladies are harvested ill switch to the mh to finish off my bro's veg and switch back to hps to begin flower. i sprung for the mh/hps convertible just because i could, figured it wouldnt hurt lol. im worried about putting much more light in the space anyways tho, it gets hot but not bad, i think 400 might be ok but i dont want to over do it, its a grow tent so the only heat that leaves the tent is from the fan (though the cfm is pretty good for the amount of space). does 400w put out much more heat than a 250w? yes, about the pot sizes, so far the biggest i have is a 7.5 which works good but im slightly concerned on being able to fit more then 2 in the spot so i might downgrade to 5 gal again or maybe just find a more slinder 7.5. anyways i have to work tonight i must hit the sack! pleasure to talk with u ! any advice/info is very appreciated stay high !

p.s. i figured i should mention i have the vent tubes running to my lamp to cool the light better, just figured that made a diff with heat and our talk on upgrading to higher wattage.
