Can anyone identify what is making my girls leaves look like they do? My ph is a little high, around 7.5 and the only nutes shes gotten have been from water in my koi pond. She seems to be growing fairly well but this is my first try. She's 4 wks old today. I had her under a 150 hps but swapped to a 250w cfl 2 days ago because the room was staying around 88 we have it around 75 now. Her leaves really seemed to perk up under the cfl. I'm afraid shes not getting all the nutes she needs. Any ideas?

First set of pics is from the 3rd and 4th of this month still under hps.

Second set are from yesterday and today under cfl.

Yep, you've got a nitrogen def going on. You'd better give them a dose or you're going to be seeing yellow leaves. This is a very common problem at this stage. Very nice looking plants. Welcome to the forum!

That's not a N deficiency, it's a magnesium deficiency. The easiest way to tell, is by the yellowing. Nitrogen defs don't start between the veins, mag does. :)

Use organic nutes. :) I would not worry too much about the organic thing; plants do not uptake anything organic, only inorganic, so it's actually quite a misnomer.

Alright now we have 2 opinions... anybody want to 2nd one of those? Or give their own... the more voices the better.

How would I know a good amount of the nutes to feed her? I don't want to overdo it and from what I understand she's getting a pretty good amount from the koi water.

Thanks jawbrodt

Jawbrodt is right. I noticed the yellowing but not that it is between the veins. My bad. Good catch Jawbrodt.

Thanks for teamwork guys I really do appreciate it. Here's a few more pics of my worries in case this isn't the only problem. Some of my new growth is dying off too btw. IMG_20100909_153431.jpgIMG_20100909_153353.jpgIMG_20100909_153335.jpgIMG_20100909_153702.jpgIMG_20100909_153554.jpg
