Hi im new to this site and ive only been growing for about two months so this is all pretty new to me. Anyway i've done two unsuccessful grows and my plants keep dying about 17 days into growing. What keeps happening is they will turn yellow on the tips starting with the fan leaves which are the worst with about half the entire leave turning yellow and then moving to the other leaves which become only slightly yellow on the tips and then overnight the leaves become wilted and the plant is leaning over. my setup is a 400wt HPS lamp in a 4ft by 2ft grow tent, im using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil in plastic pots that are about 5 1/2in deep and wide, my water has a ph of 6.5, the temp in my tent is about 82f (i know it should be a little lower but thats the best i could do) the humidity is only 40%, my light cycle is 24-0, i have FF Grow Big and Big Bloom but i havent used them yet since my plants where still pretty young, i water every 3-5 days. Any help would be appreciated.

heres a few pics of them dead

Rare for me to see this. They actually look under watered. ..at least the limp/dead ones look under watered. The others look fine.

Other than a lil more water it seems you are do'n good!!

ive been giving them about 3 squirts (at most) from my spray bottle every 3-5 days, i just measured 3 squirts and its only about 3/5 of a tea spoon. do you think that could be the problem? if so do you think i can bring the one plant from the last two pics back to life if i water them now? it just wilted this morning.

Superthrive and watering enough till it runs out of the container is the way to go...IMHO.

I use Superthive most of the time, up until I finish my grow.

I am about as confident as can be. You can wait for other input if you like. ...In fact I advise you to wait cuz its almost always good to get a 2nd opinion.

BTW welcome to RIU!!:-o

Yea man way under watered. Water your plants until water comes out of the bottom of you pot like allgood said. Just try to get used to what that pot feels like weight wise after a watering and you'll know when its time to water just by lifting the pot.

Yes I agree with undtecd420, remember how light your pots are now and only let them get that light for short periods in the future.

lol  yep Over water'n is one of the most common mistakes by any grower...new or experienced.
