whats wrong with my plants?

OK, so long story short.

I planted some bagseeds in clay pots , and I wasnt expecting them to grow, but they did.

So I got them in coco , soil, and perlite mix in 15 litre pots , 2 days back.

Its been about 16 days since they got their first set of leaves.

And now in 16 days , they only grew like 2 nodes.(14 days in clay)

So, what's wrong with them. Why are they growing so slowly? Would anyone help me on this?

Also, the temps vary in the range of 21-25°c in day and 11-15°c at night.

And I am using vermicompost .

Thank you

Yes it's defiantly the soil. What ph is the soil ? You need to repot them very quickly into 100% coco ASAP. The night temps are way to low. You need to keep a constant temp of 24-26 if possible. Are you growing indoors or out?

There could be a number of reasons for slow growth but the soil you are using and the temps will be your main issues here.

Man, I am growing outdoors, and yeah the temperature range isn't right, but in a week , the temps are gonna get back to about 25°c .

The soil though, I got it from my backyard,. I grow a banana plant and I just dug some of it from around there. I read that bananas thrive in acidic soil in the range of 5.5-6.5 as well, so that shouldn't be a problem ?

It is clay, but only at the top, rest is all coco mate.
Well thats good. Having natural soil in the mix works well if your planting in the ground. Seems like you know that already. Obvi canna grows best in loose soil so a non clay base would be the best. The only problem with what you have going is that itll take a while to get hard rooting. Maybe a root stimulator or mycos would help. Starting in an ideal soil mix would have made the plant grow faster and stronger, and establish a larger root system in less time.

Rizotonic by canna works really good too for continuous use, cannabis can be feisty where it wants to be babied like a house plant and coddled when its young. It becomes more hardy when it gets older. Are you planting it in the ground later or just running a pot through to finish?

I got 16 litres pot , so I was thinking of just letting them stay in the pot ,if that's okay
Ya dude, its fine. If you ground plant it then itll get bigger but if you cant grow a tree then thsts fine lol. As long as the whole 16 litres isnt that clay trash.

Unless you know how to use coco I advise a good soil like fox or roots. Coco needs to be rinsed well and then jump Started with Cal mag and the ph paid attention to.
