lol I actually thought about mirrors, but I think mirrors would have the potential to reflect so much light in targeted directions that they could burn/heat the leaves... I suppose it's unlikely unless they are bent or angled, but still....

You could pick up a few of those big full door mirrors from walmart/target, they only run about 2 bucks a piece and could easily be removed and modified for your grow space.

use something white or mylar other than tinfoil! it leaves heat spots all over your plant and can fry your babies up!

i use white garbage bags you think chrome paint or actual mirrors would work?

I don't think mirrors would work either for the same reason!

well tinfoil burns because its always fucking crinkled and focuses light on small spots. wouldnt a mirror just reflect all over

what about roofing flashing sheet metal? I've been thinking about making a hood out of some of that stuff. I have plenty sitting around. just paint it flat white. I think oil based paint for that, so it doesn't melt with the heat.

I'm using cfl's, 100 and 150 equivalent watt bulbs. I plan on getting a 600 watt hps, but I'll buy a good reflector for that. for the cfl's, I'd rather just make a hood myself for it. one of my cfl lamp holders has 4 100 watt bulbs in it with a quick foil reflector. that puts off more heat then I expected. you can feel the heat radiating off the top of it. I think I can build a computer fan right into my hood design. some sheet metal, screws, spray paint.. done and ready to cook babies, I mean.. grow pot :D

ketchup just makes it that much better. yum. had 3 for lunch

dude, mylar and plastic are cheap, i got a 25'x5' roll for 30 bucks, if your growing small space you can have enough to change it out as needed, as mylar gets wet it looses its reflect ability. white plastic is 1.19 per foot, and its folded to be 10 ft tall so if your really that cheap your probably growing with cfls, which don't get as hot, but still id go with better reflective materials.. mirrors arent any good eather, and XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
