When can I transfer autos to 12/12

I got a strain recently that’s a quick flowering auto flower. It’s only about 3 weeks old, but it looks like it is ready for 12/12 already. I included pics, when would it be best to put in the flowering room? She seems extremely short still, but that may just be the strain.

what's the white stuff on your leaves? hope it's not powdery mildew
No it’s just a hard water stain. This plant is weird. These are my autos that are getting 12/12. They may not need 12/12 to start flowering, but I believe if you switch them to 12/12 when they’re ready you’ll have way better results. This picture is 2 autos that are roughly 5 feet tall. The picture in the thread is without 12/12. I yield almost 2.5 ounces per auto, I don’t know why this guys so scrawny @MickFoster @BobThe420Builder

You will get better results from 18/6, 20/4, 24/0.

12/12 your not really giving them optimal light. 12/12 for photos only

This is strawberry cough, fem photoperiod(topped). It’s the same age as the scrawny autos. The scrawny autos are all purple lemonade, where the one good leafy one is C4. Never worked with these strains before.

Honestly I’m kind of glad to hear because my veg room is bigger than my flower. if I could keep them under those lights, I can focus on growing more photoperiods under the HPS. I read a small article about it and it seems to be personal preference but a lot of people do 18/6 even 24/0

I haven't grown autos yet, but my next grow will be. Everything I've read on them has no change in light. All say to give atleast 18/6. When I do it I'll probably be doing 20/4

When i cross autos with regs i will put the progeny in 12/12. They always start flowering but a brief time in 12/12 really sticks that flowering stage and it goes faster. Do you know the parents?

I don’t like the thought of a light schedule that’s outside the realm of natural, but yet again I don’t know if autos are natural. I believe plants need some dark. This is the strain

the pictures don’t really compare to the Charlie Brown Christmas tree I grew. It’s been under 18/6 since seed.

I believe that you believe the wrong thing. You are the second person in 2 days who has stated this wrong information. Your autos that are 5 feet tall are pretty stretched out and lacked sufficient light, that is why they are so tall as far as I can tell. Get them on 18/6 or 20/4 and give them more light or lower your light. You will get much better results. I got 3.5 oz from my first auto and it was only a couple feet tall. I would also stop spraying your plants, watering will do fine.

Yeah autos are natural, they're ruderalis, we just took them and modified them. Their ancient lineage...
"this strain was first officially identified scientifically in 1924 by the Russian botanist Janischewski in the wild regions of South Siberia."
the others are right they can handle enormous light schedules, and you are right, they require rest, they will cycle a circadian rhythym even in 24/7 light. You do what you want it's your plant and money after all. I just wanted to chime in with my own autos i do put them in 12/12 briefly. When i see signs of flowering but if it seems slow going...ill give them like a week at most in 12/12 then back throw them outside to finish at their leisure. But thats me i have that luxury. If you dont have that ability youll have to experiment.
