when cops raid you

from what ive been reading about people getting busted
or what i see on tv the cops always take the plants out of the house still in the soil?
if its illegal to grow and stuff wouldnt they pull it out before they took it away
if i got busted or something i would deff want the plants pulled before they leave my house so the cops cant benefit from anything
just a thought

true story..at that point your more likely to be thinking of ways to get out of handcuffs...
