When Did Spider Farmer Stop Using Meanwell Drivers?

Well, the scheduled delivery for yesterday...hangers in place, ready to do some heavy rearranging of my other lights, excitement building. I've been tracking the light via USPS since it left Tennessee. Most of the day it showed it was "In transit" and "On time". Late afternoon I got a text update from USPS letting me know it had arrived in St Paul, Minnesota!!!!! YIPPIEEEE!!!!! But, uh, hmmm.....I'm in Alabama.:wall:

Yeah, it sucks. But, I think this is on HLG, not the USPS. Seems the shipping receipt I got from HLG had my correct address on it. The problem I think is that when they started entering my address to create a shipping label there system "auto-filled" the state and zip and nobody noticed. Minnesota has a city with the same name as mine...I've ran up on that while Googling different things in the past. It's a pain. I managed to arrange the remaining seeds that are germinating under a single LED shop light. I was getting a DLI of maybe 6 directly beneath it and within an inch or two. If the seeds pop at least the seedlings won't be in the dark. It still sucks, though.IMG_9212pp2 (Custom).jpg

What are you using to measure dli?

Minimal equipment...Photone app on an old iPhone6. I'm sure it's not exact but the cost was good...I only paid for the full-spectrum add-on and cheap-out with a paper diffuser. Ramen-noodle budget here. Maybe it's getting me in the ballpark. :)

Yea maybe so, but....... maybe not. Lol

Definitely could go either way. I've used the app for growing carnivorous plants in the past...it worked well enough. Not NASA-grade, but good enough for this old guy.
I’ve used Photone for several years and been very pleased with it. At the moment I have the “Pro” version that I pay for a couple months occasionally, very interesting and seemingly quite accurate. Absolutely on with k ratings matching advertised values on everything I have.

I think you nailed it. It seems that HLG had the correct address on the shipping tag, according to the image they provided me. I guess those "extra" bar codes we find on packages are shipping directions that only the witch doctors at USPS who hold the scanners understand. Apparently they don't use the original bar code on the shipping label!!! And, I thought it was gonna be the shippers fault...I should not have underestimated the USPS's accuracy in delivery....what *was* I thinking!!!

Good to hear you're pleased with the app. I'm no genius so I use what the app tells me and what the plants are looking like. I start out conservatively (not wanting to burn the seedlings) and then gradually ramp up the power/intensity a bit. One thing I like is measuring the perimeter to keep those seedlings from languishing in a too low light intensity. Do you use the diffuser that Photone sells or the DIY one?

Well, the prodigal grow light continues its adventure. After touring the fine(?) city of St Paul, MN, it took a Greyhound down south yesterday, arriving in Palmetto, GA, last night around 9:30pm. This shocks me being as most everything (at least in the eastern) United States *has* to travel through Atlanta at least once. Surprisingly, the grow light hasn't been to Atlanta...yet. I figure before it heads in my direction it'll probably visit Atlanta...maybe take a side trip to Six-Flags, the "Cyclorama", maybe even see a Braves ballgame. Who knows...it my go by the aquarium and the zoo, too!!! I mean, when you're on an extended vacation ya gotta make the most out of it...right?:???:
