When do I top for the second time?

I give mine some time to grow normally between toppings.
This one is just about to get its second topping.

Really a matter of preference
 
Agree with boatguy. I only top once because my tent isn’t big enough to support me doing it more than once.

ive got a 5x5 and ill probably move her outside once it gets warm enough. Any suggestion on node count before another topping? mainly just curious for when i should be prepared to top again. Dont wanna miss the sweet spot

I dont do any more than half the nodes on a given branch or top.
 
I top at 6th node down to 4th. Then let grow out 3 nodes and top the 8 branches again, and another 3 nodes for SCROG. Not more than twice for vertical grow. These will top next week. Big are topped once at. 25 days since hair shot up. Get 8 branches fighting for apical dominance.

Not all will behave the same after topping. I have some that have turned into a shrub after a single topping. The one i posted above was not one of those.
