It is when the light cycle gets down towards 12 hours a day (it will likely start at 14 or 13 hours of light per day). The light cycle gets shorter as summer goes on, signaling that fall is coming, which is what makes the plant start flowering. So it is definitely not random, but it is a little tough to say. It depends somewhat on the strain and your location, but I think the very beginning of August is a reasonable estimate. Can someone please confirm or deny this?
