When exactly to start flushing?

I started a year ago and I didnt flush my first grow. Not to sound stupid but when do you start to flush and for how long? How many gallons per 2 gallon pot plant? The reason this is done is to flush out any nute chemicals? Also anyone with good ideas on ways to add better taste to your smoke besides flushing?

on average you'll wanna start 2 weeks from finishin!! some peeps flush consistantly a few day(s) a week durin flowerin but to keep it simple just start 2 weeks till harvest!! and no nutes! just water!! yea you dont want to smoke nutes!! you wannna jus smoke the flavor of bud! some people add like grape concentrate or(your flavor) per few gallon o water! wait n see what others do to flava it up a bit !!

i have heard that you really dont need to flush if your using organic nutes but like i said this is what i have heard not done im just now coming up on my first chop...

Flushing is what happens naturally outside when it rains

Proper taste comes from proper curing, you can not flush anything out of the plant

I make it rain 2 or 3 times a week during flower

WHAT dont need to flush??? of course you do on my last grow i got ancy and pulled a few early the buds crackled and poped and left a shitty taste on my toung after smoking it. I bought some final flush flushedem for 8 days and the remaing buds were perfect smooth smoking great tast ect. SO you dont have to flush .... You dont have to shower ither but u like to be clean and so do your buds!!!

Well put! I'm PRO flush... Start 2 weeks before you plan on chopping, and use double whatever your pot holds. EX: I use 2-2.5 gallon pots. So I run 4 gallons through the soil about 4 different times in that 2 week period. And my shit tast's GOOD!

I use Organic Nutes, and I never flush the soil/plants. I just switch to plain water for the last 10 days of flowering, which nutes aren't necessary at that point anyway, and then water them normally. My smoke is always smooth and tastes great. I have had some incredibly harsh nugs a few times, that came out of hydro grows which where not flushed before harvest. Though, I don't see flushing as being a nessicary part of an organic soil grow.

That's basically the exact same idea as flushing..... Just not giving tons of water at once. It accomplishes the same. Getting (flushing) all the excess nutes out of the soil so the plant can suck up all the nutes from the leaves sorta dealio. I do agree that with organics you don't HAVE to flush. But if you use chemical nutes like myself you'd better flush.... I don't like the bowls I smoke sounding like my bowl of rice crispys... Snap-Crackle-Pop

i am a non flusher too.. why anyone would want to starve their plants during the last weeks of life simply doesn't make sense to me, and my nugs never taste like chemicals or pop or whatever you flushers say will happen by not doing so.... there are products out there that are made to get rid of any built up salts in your soil.. such as clearex to name one..
if you just feed your plants as normal and do a proper dry and cure, the taste will be fine and the smoke will be nice and the ash will still be white..

Easy way to tell if someone flushed or not is by looking at the ash. Can you flip your scorched nug after smoking it to find green on the other side? Is there a pile of dark black nastiness? Thats why you need to flush. When you burn something flushed there should just be a nice light grey ash left. Theres a huge difference in the quality of smoke, I dont see how someone could disagree.

Im glad u went and bought some flush solution, sounds like ur $$ would be much better off with the hydro company,..comparing flushing to washing ur body?! cak sakker

u guys are all confused..we flush to get the ppm's down and to force our plant to use ALL the sugars in the leaves to help ripen the buds. If u dont flush and ur ppms are hella high for the last week ur ash will be black and ur buds will crackle like its the 4th of july..i know this for a fact to so nobody better back talk me god dammit lol jk

I use aeroponics and i have run a few different strains at one time on the same table . This required me to pick a few plants earlier then others that were not finished i was not able to flush correctly due to the fact other strains still had 2 weeks to go . I use Dutch Nutrients and the early buds i plucked snap and crackle and leave a kinda shitty taste on my toung. I used some clenex flush and plain water for 8-9 days on the final plants and *perfection* So i dono what to tell you.

Unless ur [plants were starving nearing the end of there cycle there should be build up in the buds and leaves that just how it works Say all you want about not flushing but the plants store nutrients in the leaves and buds and if you dont flush them wear can they go?????????????? THe nutrients dont just evorapate??? Like pizza even when its bad its good if think ur buds are good when not flushing next time u do a grow spend the time and just flush one and then tell me flushing is not needed .


I can grow buds with a 30 watt light bulb and argue all day that my buds are acceptable but why not use HID's to make it better Same rule applies here sure you weed is good but if you can make it better for no extra cost just a little extra TLC i think ur a fool not to
