When is my Green Dragon ready to go?

I put a bunch of a leaves and stems from my NYC Diesel plant in a fifth of Bacardi Superior rum. I keep it in my window and shake it everyday. Its a amber-ish color right now. Its been sitting for 20 days.

It also has a bit of a weed smell to it which is cool haha

I hope you didn't leave it uncovered in the window... you gotta leave it in a brown paper bag to prevent the sunlight from degrading the thc...

after 20 days if it's been warm its ready.

ya the sunlight didnt help, it isnt Sun Tea that my grandma brews.

Haha I didn't know that about the sunlight. I took a partial shot last night and i didn't feel any effects. My tolerance is quite high however so I may just need to take more.

You may have a much longer wait on your hands if you did not decarboxilate the weed first. A true green dragon is heated up on the stove in a water bath, just to the point that the alcohol almost boils, about 175 degrees. The heat converts THCA into active THC that can then be extracted by the alcohol. The warmth from the sun may have helped you in this regard, but the light also degrades THC. How much plant material did you put in the jar?

I like the classic cannabis tincture that involves letting it sit in high proof alcohol in a warm dark place (or in a window with brown paper bags.... ) for 3 weeks...very effective stuff.

That is what I just posted in my Musings journal, lol... I have two quart mason jars going right now, full of 153 proof grain.

Have not done this yet. My next "Science experiment", as my old lady calls them.
