When is the best time to start a clone on nutrients and at what ppm. I have my own methods that I like, but am always trying to find out what the other guy is doing.DSC_0075.jpg

I wait till it is rooted and the leaves are just starting to turn yellow closest to the stem and looking like they need it. I never rush adding the nutrients

I like to put my cuttings in 2" Grodan rockwool cubes.

I make a mix to soak the cuttings in. I do it really light, this is my mix...

1.5 gallons of water(RO) ph'D at 5

Botanicare:

2mL of Aqua Shield
2mL of Liquid Karma
2mL of Cal-Mag
2mL of Silica Blast
4mL of PureBlend Pro

Humboldt Nutrients:

.25 tablespoon Myco Madness

Now my water pH is at 5.5 to 6

When I get some more money I will be adding Humbold Nutrients Roots Excelerator, heard great things about it.

Average root time is 7-10 days, I water with the same formula after and gradually build it up when their fully rooted.

Now the 1st block in picture below, I transplanted some into soil as well to see the difference.

I like to transplant into the 4" block under the starter bulbs until the roots break through and then then go under the T5's.

So far it's been working good, I'll get really fat fuzzy roots after I add the roots excelerator.

Any other tips or if i'm doing something wrong I would appreciate it!

Once they root you can feed them. Some folks feed them 1000-1100 ppm from day 1 with good results. Others gradually get their newly rooted clones use to feedings i.e. 400-500 ppms.
