When is the perfect time to harvest

Hi all. This is my first grow. My photoperiod plants are currently in about the 5-6 week of flowering phase. They are very frosty and trichomes are cloudy. When is the perfect time to harvest? I have read that we want SOME trichomes to be amber but not all. Here are my plants.

Another month, month and a half. Focus more on all the white hairs turning red, and retracted. Then scope your trichs.

Agreed with above. Far too many people harvest based on trichomes before the pistils have browned/oranged and receded, and calyxes swelled.
Not sure they need a month though, too hard to tell from the pics if you can post a close up of some buds. Looks like 2 more weeks to me

My eyes aren’t the greatest but I don’t see hardly any pistils, which leads me to believe those calyces may be getting ready to swell up and kick out some thick ones.
The heads don’t look big enough for the buds to be ripe. If you get that wave of pistils it’ll be a good 3-4 weeks before they get anywhere close to ripe.
Trichs can stay cloudy for weeks before ambering up.
Let the buds get Ripe, meaning 99-100% of white hairs have turned and receded, then examine your trichs. If you still want more amber then let it continue.
Nice looking grow though. Let us know how it turns out.
