When Should I Clone?

Alright, I'm a first time grower and i have 7 plants growing outside in hanging baskets. They're about 6 inches tall each with 4 rungs of leaves.

I'd like to attempt a few clones but i haven't even determined the sex. At what point will i be able to see the sex and when is it wise to clone?

Alright after exploring i've pretty much found my answer.

Follow-up question: How long does it take the clones to mature? Because i'm working with a shorter new england grow season.

out of curiosity.. possibility to shock male to female? i got a plant looks like *counts* 8 nodes at just barely 8 inches.. i kinda pulled lights back to help the plant stretch taller so i could count the damn nodes.. this is 4 or 5 weeeks into veg.. can i clone them now? or when is suggested flowering ive heard 12 inches or 7 weeks veg.. but also someone was discussing by nodes?

im interested in cloning too.

my suggestion to this post is to take a clone and find sex of clone.. then youll know.

Well my reason for growing in baskets it because i live in a moderately populated suburban area and there are very few isolated locations; so my solution was to climb a big pine tree in my yard and put hanging baskets at the top. It's virtually invisible.

you have to wait until you have side branches. these will be where the cuttings are taken from. unless you want to top your plants.
