When should I expect bud?

Got a dank clone at 30 inches+ and it's been in flowering for about two weeks. Now this plant is completely different from ANY i've ever grown. This isn't some street run crap ass seed shit, this is a DANK strain call "razzamatazz" and it smokes like crazy, but never grown it. Anyway. No hairs yet, but it's still healthy as can be. 12/12 light under two 4 ft florecsent grow bulbs. It's early and i'm NOT expecting it to just pop up over night, but around what time should I expect this to end? And what would it yield? I'm guessing from expierience up to 2 ounces. Though I'm not counting on more than 1 1/2:weed::leaf:

Purple Raz also known as Razzmatazz, Purple Raz is a cross of Grandaddy Purple(From Haze Strains) X Lavendar( From Kush Strains). The effects are enduring, with a smooth even feeling throughout. For an indica, the buzz is surprisingly alert and energetic rather than sedating. Yes I would call it DANK. Give it about two more weeks and it should have some hairs.

are nodes alternating? If not it might not be mature in which case it won't flower till it's mature regardless of dark period. Every strain is different, but I personally have not run into one that didn't show pistils at 2 weeks of 12/12... At the very least I'd be double checking for light leaks, again, assuming it's mature. No way to even guess your yields, that's something you have to figure out from experience :)

Thanks you guys :) it's mighty skunky. And biggest not is as long as: from the tip of my finger to my elbow, and I'm 5' 11" lol. But thank you, I know this will take some time but it is SOO worth it. I have some pictures of the clones if anyone wants to see?

False statement, it will flower before it's mature. Late season outdoor seed drops commonly produce small young plants with only a small cola. And many growers flower from seed. I don't do this, but I know you can.

To original poster: 2 weeks does seem like a long time to not see any flowering signs, is this plant in total dark during lights out period? For best results, that's how it should be, no ambient light, no leaks, no flashes. If it indeed receives total dark, than flowers should be very close to showing. I would also lower your expectations on yield using a shop light, these don't offer much in the way of lumens, so you will have loose airy buds, good luck though.

Well what lights should I use? I have a 175w HPS but idk where to get a cheap balast? And how much would one be? I need to put an extra cover over the grow room door also. But thank you so much!

A lamp that small should have ballast all in the same unit, but if not, I have seen 250 watt mini systems for under 100 dollars on ebay, brand new.

Not ordering I need a "pick up" and idk man I just need a balast to connect it to, it's just the bulb, I actually jacked it a LONG time ago from a lamp post that had vines COVERING it, it's blue. I just need a lil balast :(

There's no telling if that bulb even works, and if it does, you would need the specific ballast that the bulb is calibrated for. You can't just drop any HPS bulb into any HPS ballast. Some are base up (vertical) or horizontal, or either way. But there is also several types of igniters that match certain bulb types. For best results or possibly safety, you will want to buy the ballast and buy the bulb that's meant for that ballast.

And what do you mean by it's blue? It gives off a bluish light? If so, that would be a Metal Halide, or maybe a Mercury Vapor. HPS burns kinda pinkish or even an orange hue.

I have another post you should go look at and jump into. It's the one i'm most updated on. Maybe you can help me. I am talking about how I can spend about 200$ in the next few weeks on lights so you should go read it. It's my newest one. See ya there.

I'm not going to be so presumptuous to tell you you're wrong, but I do suspect that what you are seeing is maturity as I have stated it. For instance, I can take immature plants, place them in flower, and I have yet to see one that doesn't continue vegging till it's ready to flower. This is out of 6 different strains ranging from sativa to indicas to hybrids (I have never grown an auto, but by definition they are kinda the same way, despite the consistent photoperiod). One thing to keep in mind, if you have a plant in 12/12, it will start to flower as soon as its mature, these flowers will come in with alternating nodes, but since it won't be vegging anymore, they aren't as evident, and it appears that the plant started to flower before alternating, even though this is not the case.
Or perhaps you have just had an experience with a strain that behaved differently than many others; there is so much variety in strains these days you can probably find one to contradict any trend seen in the majority.
Also keep in mind that a SOG from seed (which is what you describe having seen growers do) does not mean they have begun flowering before being mature, it just means they weren't allowed to stretch at all. I have a tray of SOG right now that weren't ready, they took an extra two weeks to start flowering, and are still going to grow their single small colas; in other words the one has nothing really to do with the other.
