Im on day 6 flower and one of my plants were already showing sex because i flowerd just to show sex a few weeks ago. My plants continue to grow and stretch but i have not seen any hairs yet. When should i start to see bud sites?

Howdy! It can depend on the strain, my girls normally for what i call "clusters" of flowers about a dime or nickel in diameter around 1.5-3wks in. Sativa strains can tend to stretch more before they decide to stop and bulk up and a sativa flower time can be longer overall too. Good rule of thumb is around 2wks for clusters to form, after that the plant spends time bulking up with size and then they gain weight. That's how it appears to me. Feel free to ask more questions about stages of flower if need be. Do you know if you have a sativa or indica and possible a name of the strain?

note all of mine except one is sativa, one indica i have i hope to hell is a female cause its the only effing one. Biggest, grown longest and seems to do the best out of all of them too. I'm going to be devastated if its a male. :/ I'm already worried.

I have a hybird. The genetics of this strain is White Widow x Skunk x Bigbud x Jamaican Me Crazy. It seems as more sativa then indica but its clearly a hybird.

I spot males before flower even, if you grow you plants long and big enough they show sex signs at every node. I remember before i started growing i heard you can't tell the gender unless you flower, well say you plant a bad seed and you want to know if it's male/female before you waist too much time, then you can clone it and flower the clone. That's one way to find out the gender, but i've always been able to see the sex signs about 3-4wks into veg. After I bought some fem seeds i just keep taking clones before i flower a plant to keep the cycle going. no mother plants for me.

Be patients to me you will see male before female but mine take any wear from 7 to I think the one was close to 20 days before I knew for sure so patients

I just finished my first run and was able to tell a m from a f before flowering as well. Real easy, just look for the ball on the end of a rod

If you had a pic that would be helpful, if your not seeing rosey's balls then breath a sigh of relief for now. Not knowing more about strain, lighting and other factors temp humidity it is really hard to speculate when and what to expect. I can tell you one thing it's going to be either a girl or a boy and you will know soon if you are providing the right light cycle... and if your Rosey congratulations its a boy!

What does buds look like when they are starting to form?
you'll see tight clusters of "hairs". I actually don't know the technical name for a single flower site...unless it's calyx. Just ran downstairs real quick and took a pic for you of my Chocolope 2wks into flower.IMG_20130419_092821_754.jpg
