I dicovered a hermie a few days ago, (thanks to this site) and took it out to be safe. It's about 95% female and the young buds look great, but i need to know if i should smoke it now or let it carry on. I can keep it at 12/12 by giving it daylight and putting in a dark cupboard for 12 hrs. will i get a smoke out of it whatever way i go?

Give it a sex change!!!!!!!!
if you want to keep it, Just keep cutting its ball's OFF.
Becarefull those ball's are like ticking time bomb's.
Just waiting to bust a nut all over the place..

you can cut off all the pollen sacs you want but its still possible for that plant to pollinate and ruin the rest of your crop. pollen can travel for up to 2 miles or more with the right wind conditions

thanks for the input. i don't want to take the chance putting it back with the girls, i know it's a hermie but don't know if i should keep it going, smoke it now, or dump it. Will it give me a head?

ive been fighting a hermie this crop...sad thing its the best looking plant outa 10,,,havent seen any new pollen sacs for about a week now..you can beat the fucker, just be vigilante daily...
just remember dont touch anything in the room when your picking them off...get them nutsss the frick outa the room wash your hands before you handle any of your other sluts..
dont let it have direct contact with any of your other sluts...keep it down wind on your fans
carbon filters are great for beating this as well
put your scrubber between the hermies and your other sluts

in my few attempts at growing none of which were great not horrible either though all but 1 of my plants turned into hermies found out here it was more than likely my erratic lighting "schedule" I did cut the sacks off but not all . I let them grow until I would either notice the sacks forming much quicker than the bud or they were finished. This does effect bud development and i bet has some effect on THC content but for a newer grower i was pretty impressed witht the potency. Basically if the bud stops growing and the sacks seem to be forming quicker pick it if not let it finish (away from the true ladies) and you'll just have a little less smoke with a few seeds
