When should I switch to 12/12

I've been verging for 2 months and some odd days now and I've Been lsting my plant it's now 2 1/4' wide and 9" tall.

STRAIN: LSD Barneys Farm

I am growing under a 400 watt mh in a cool tube 8" above my plants. Temps are GOOD

I also am using promix hp soilless mix in a 10 gallon pot with FloraNova Nutrients from GH.
My grow tent is a 3x3x7' and Im aiming for a 300gram yield

But I also don't want to get root bound so should I switch soon?

Switch it to 12/12

Its up to you but 2 months vegging is considered a good deal of time. You want to watch 2 main things
Do you have the light pentration for a big bushy plant?
And your height. If your tent size is 7 ft tall, subtract for the lights and the distance you need to stay away from getting too close to the light and now your down to around 5 ft or so. 5 ft is probably as far as you would want to go with one 400 watt light.

I have 51/2' of growing room from soil to lights I want to know if the plant is going to get root bound or if I will get my yield of 300 grams. My plants roots are so abundant that I'm worried but it could be normal only my second grow and first in a 10 gallon pot using promix

i dont think rootbound is a issue but pre flower stretch may be, plants are know to sometimes double if not MORE in size the first 3 weeks of flower cycle.


as far as yeild no one can really tell you...could be a junk pheno and only produce shitty popcorn buds....could be a great pheno and produce rock solid pepsi bottle buds....

300 grams from one plant is a pretty stellar harvest...it is definatly possible but i want to say unlikely. i know the word on the street is 1g/w but unfortunatly thats a pipe dream for most.

Any chance for a picture? I tie em down pretty hard as well, the indicas tend to stay low if tied down.

So you got 66" of growing space, minus 9" for current height, minus 8" for light setback. So you have 66-(9+ or 49" of room to play with. To max your yield I would let them go a few days and get a couple more inches on before flipping. Just my opinion and I'm kind of toasted so math might not work out. But if you got a heavy indica tied down I don't think it's gonna triple in size during stretch and flower.
