Just as a point of interest and not saying this is the way to do it, but how I do it. I start my seeds (Auto or pheno) using the paper towel method. Usually it takes about 3 days but sometimes as fast as 2 days, to get a sprout and 4-5 for it to be long enough to place in the soil. You said that you planted it knuckle deep and imo that is too deep. Even doing it this way I plant with the head of the seed on the surface and the sprout buried.

20/4 worked best 4 me too,shame about mephisto I found them to be one of the best.

Had 2 out of 4 mephisto seeds not pop. Dunno if they are old or incorrectly stored but I’ve not had 1 fastbud seed be a dud

Have you tried sprouting in a paper towel in a plastic bag? Throw it on the windowsill and you should have a tap root in 2-3 days. Just be careful pulling it off the paper towel because sometimes the tap root wants to stick.
also plants grow the most at night. So although you can grow with lights on 24/7 you’ll get faster growth if you give it some night.
