when to change pots

i have a plant it hasnt sprouted or anything yet but at what point should i change from a tiny pot to a big pot or bucket also whould it be ok if i dug a hole to hide the buckets bright color to make it less noticeable

yea im outdoors the bucket im planning to put it in is one of those orange home-depot buckets already made holes in it

I'm guessing you're outdoors. If thats the case I would transplant into a 5 or 7 gallon pot after the plant has established 3-4 nodes, and roots are visible upon popping the soil mass out of your small pot. wait until you see preflowers and confirm sex before doing anything else at that point.

Well if you lived in Tennessee the orange pot would not even be noticed (College colors are orange & white)
but you may need to do a cammo job on that pot!
