Molasses is not magic, and it isn't just for flowering.

The main thing it does is provide carbohydrates to stimulate microbial proliferation in the soil, and a steady supply nutrients to the plant. The concept is "feed the soil".

Some of the sugars are absorbed by the plant, so it does contribute a bit to taste. But the bud's native taste is mostly genetic. Molasses will merely enhance it.

Molasses also provides a wide variety of trace elements (in minute amounts) as well as a fair amount of K.

Add 2-3 tablespoons per gallon of water. Some people do it for every watering and some do it every 2nd or every 3rd watering and some only use it after they flush and stop using fertilizers. See what works best for you.

Brick says it all well. I grow in the soil and use it throughout my grow cycle and added to my compost pile. The whole concept of organics is about the soil so that the plants absorb nutes at their needed rate. The molasses is an additive that is as much about the soil as it is about the plant feeding.
