First grow. Ak48 from feminized seeds. 4x4 tent under 1000 watt mh. Well water ph between 6.5 and 7.0. I started these in fox farms ocean forrest. Then I over nuted them with ff grow big. After some help from a member of RIU I got them back on track. They're in 50/50 ff of and happy frog now. I've given them 1/2 strength feedings of big bloom, but mostly just water and molasses. I switched them to flower on 8/20. My question is when should I flush them? They have allways been this dark green due to starting them in ffof and early nutes.SDC10142.jpgSDC10144.jpgSDC10145.jpgThanks gang.

They have a lot of bud to grow before you need to think about "flushing." They look great. No worries.

Thanks kount. I've made enough mistakes by rushing into things. They also have some mag. def. but I'm not too worried since it's minimal. I've heard that if you don't get them to a light green color (by removing the nitrogen I guess) they'll taste like shit. Any info on that?

I usually just give plain water 2 weeks before harvest, I notice a difference in taste in flushed and unflushed weed, but I guess some people don't

When do you flush?

I personally flush after using the toilet...I follow some simple rules. Sometimes when i drink alot over a day and I know I will be peeing more than usual, I will usually pee multiple times before I flush, as to not waste all that water because my silly bladder can't hold it all. However, after EVERY poop it is imperative that I flush because well, thats just not cool to leave it and lets face it, it kind of smells bad. You also dont want to let your pee sit in there overnight or anything either especially if its really yellow because that can become particularly smelly to, I dont know, I guess its just a matter of opinion, but in life I have seem to come to a simple way and tell tale rule on when to flush

''if its yellow let it mellow (unless it stinks of course)....if its brown flush it down.''

but in all regards and aspects, I save flushing for toilets, not for plants becuase lets face it, does a plant or dirt or roots for that matter have a button to flush? how would you know your flushing it anyways? by giving the roots a shit ton of water doesnt mean your flushing anything, thats called drowning...or over-watering...over-saturation etc there are many words for it. but flushing isn't one of them...I wish we could all get away from this stupid myth that plants are flush-able...All it takes is a quick look in a book or some simple understanding on how botany works...but I digress...

im sad now :(

I do whole plant hang dry's.

When you do whole plant dry's, after you cut it, the plant stays alive for a few days and is still transpiring and moving and using resources.

There is NO more flavorful grass, than when whole plant hangs and cures until it is completely ready to smoke/eat.. If it is for your personal stash and you can, I would not worry about flushing, hang her whole and let her keep working a few days sans soil.

i agree with the gentleman posting before me. Try it for yourself, and whatever works for you I say you go with. That is how I learned, and there is nothing wrong with it, Good luck

I came across that one searching the internet too.
Nice, just need to try both now...way I see it, either a bunch of growers/patients hallucinate the bad taste in unflushed weed, or, some growers/patients arnt as picky as others, either way it's about what works for you
