When to harvest! expertise opinion please!, getting mixed information regarding this.

Like I said already. If you growing bud for something other than gettting the max thc level? Then be my guest and go another route. But yes there is a point where the THC level will get no higher and that is when its done for me. This is determined by the trichomes end of story nothing else. Without a doubt you can keep it alive past prime and it WILL start to lose potency. Again if you're after something other than potency go ahead and determine when is done another way.

Yeah that's probably the best way to judge when your girls are done / at there peak.

yeah man I'm not sure where your getting your info, but i think you are off base with this post. You are possibly getting this first grower to harvest his crop to early.

Not a chance. But like mentioned you need to know your strain. If you let the trichomes go past peak they get more brittle witch makes it easier for them to fall off. that simple

What he means is the pistils will darken usually a red to brown and orange instead of the green-white normally. They recede when that calyx is ripe. When most of a bud has dark pistils, and gets the final "finished" look its good to go.
You cant judge by trichs as some strains produce ckiuded trichs from the stary or even dif colors, ive grown some sativas in particular that always have amber trichs. Not all the terps and compounds are the same color

Thatttt awsome I thought it was my eyes ... My plant has always only really had clouded tricks from when I first started getting them.... I'd listen to this guy ^^^

No its not done

Rep was a different ranking system. It would take to long to explain, there are old stickies still most likely in the support section. Riu got rid of it early 2014

I realize a lot of strains do different things but I've never seen a strain that starts out with the trics.cloudy.lol seems to me like a lot of people need to invest in a small microscope! I may be new to this site but I'm bout 30 years from being new to growing buds.lol

No the trichomes (crystals) go from clear to cloudy to amber.

Basically for a more head high kind of buzz you want to harvest early and for a couchlock buzz you can leave till you believe they are done! This will keep ya on ya ass and will make you feel like your body sinking into the couch... It depends on what kind of buzz you prefer.

Not my first grow, but last time i grew harvested too early and when they were cured they shrunk so small i hardly had any smokables which is why I want to do it right this time.

Which high is better?, tbh last smokables were like head high then it was body high then it was couch lock, I know it sounds weird but lol it was all 3.
