When to harvest pineapple express auto for pain relief?

Hey riu, finishing my first auto grow-barney's farm pineapple express, at 11 weeks from seed and very frosty, about 30% of hairs are orange. I don't have a loupe just yet but i want to harvest this indica dom strain at the stage for the best pain relief/narcotic stone, is earlier better than later especially being indica dom if so when would you suggest? Thanks in advance, i'll try get some pix up, did take a sample nug with the most orange hairs yesterday and it's drying nicely so far

i smoke for insomnia/anxiety and pain relief also - what youre looking for is the CBD (cannabidiol) stone. wait until 80-100% of trichs are amber before harvest for a major shift in the cannabinoid profile. it becomes much heavier and narcotic as opposed to clear and trippy. i suggest you read up more on individual cannabinoids and how they contribute to the high of each strain. also, allowing each bud to cure properly for the maximum amount of time is very important for both smokability and cannabinoid effect. like anything fine and complex, cannabis needs time to undergo a complex array of changes in chemical structure that result in a much cleaner and more pleasant medicinal high.

Although i do agree that letting it go to 80 or 100% will produce a very narcotic, sedative type drug, i think that you should consider 50 =60% because you will still achieve a pain relief effect without the risk of overripening and ruining your whole crop. Also, I believe you would enjoy the weed better and still be able to function if you chose to harvest at 50% or so Im not saying the above posters info is incorrect, i guess it depends how much pain you are in. I don't really know anyone who havests the buds that ripe.

Well atm i'm dealing with needing a full shoulder recon and the insurance company delaying my surgery so it's pretty bad, i'm thinking as they are just auto's i'll pick them at about 50 or 60 percent if i can get a loupe in time lol but with the main harvest of a few different photo strains i'll definately let some get that ripe, going to stagger my harvest and figure out what i like best later.
