It depends man. For the most part you want to continue to handwater untill you 4-6 large taproots sticking out of the bottom of what ever your using. Usually about this time the edges of the larger new leaves will have started to turn a bit yellow. This shows nitrogen defficiency. Which means its times for a bigger tub and nutrients! I hope this helped.

Wait until you see roots shooting out the bottom and transplant, like Stickee mentioned. Works for me with any variety of plants.

Ditto MONKEYBONES!! That is one hundred percent right. Pure organics allows for the plant to decide on when and how much nutriets it needs. Soil is the most natural element so naturally it gives the plant to choice to use nutrients or not. Deff ease into hydro or chemical fertilizers! I used to alwasy start with a 1/4 dose for the first week...At least before i went organic :]

Same here, I put seedlings/cuttings into 1" cubes that have been soaked in 1/4 str solution. When they're showing signs of rooting, I put them into 3" cubes that have been soaked with the same food. When I see roots coming from the big cube, I throw them into my full str garden.
