Hi guys, im doing my first ever grow and my seeds have been germinating for nearly 72 hours using a cup of water and then transferring them to a damp paper towel. both seeds have a short white taproot showing which is about 1 or 2mm long. should i keep germinating them or crack on and plant them? they're being kept moist with no exposure to light in a warm place

put them in the soil after they are exposed those 2 mm or the tip is atleast out of the shell, place under light, and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

no fuck an inch, once that baby cracks and a white lil tail pops and is good enough poke that straight into the soil and in a few days tadddaaaaaaa you will have a plant, but u must take care of it! LOL

no need to put them under any light untill they have shed thier seed shell and opened up exposing that first set of green leaves. i sugest putting them into a cup and putting some plastic wrap over it with a rubber band to prevent the top of the soil from drying out, alternativly if you have a humidity dome that works well too.

cheers dookz man, a few people were saying to wait til the root gets to be an inch long!
your chances of the seedling not dying are greater with a longer tap root. i have put seeds into soil as soon as i seen them split open and a small white tap showing and a couple times they didnt make it.

Dookz, not trying to be a ass but you hardly seem like you should be giving anyone much advice.

not tryin to be an ass back to you retiredmatt, but i disagree with you to the fullest here

ill say this, once those babies crack open and u have taproot place in soil straight down and place under the light! now you may have had a bad seed(s) or a dud seed(s) or maybe your soil was to hot, or u just dont germ right! but i never have had any problems with them unless it was something other then overwatering the seeds once placed in soil, check yourself before you oppose a way of others

dont look at my post count as im not here to bicker with you on who has more experience but i see i do since my seeds actually pop and grow, sorry but you may need to rethink your own strategies but what you say aboveabout plastic wrap over the cup ect is nonsence germ right, plant right, grow good, please take ur bs somewhere else

Couldn't have said it better myself. That's how I did my seeds and all of them sprouted. As a matter of fact, that's how I do all my seeds and never had any problems.
