When to seperate the male from the female

I have two plants that have been growing for about 3 weeks. I dont know if they are male or female but if one turns male and the other turns female at what point should I seperate them so my female does not get infected?

As soon as you notice you should separate the plants. Unless your intrested in producing seeds or shit with seeds.

Basically what everyone else said, kill it and make hash if it's a male.
