I have two plants in flowering right now I flipped Aug 23 and started seeing pistils around sept 6 so when do I start counting the day I flip or once I see pistils? The two strains are white critical and critical hog

Some say the day u flip and some say when u see pre flowers.. I go by when I see pre flowers however number of weeks don't matter a whole lot cuz the plant will finish when she finishes.. I just keep track for personal reference of that strain..

What do u prefer ur trics be, mostly milky or do you try to get it half milky half Amber?

yeah I've never grown either of these strains so I'm not familiar with them on like preference wise but I guess I'll just keep a close eye on the trichs

IMO if your plant is mature enough to show sex, then you count when the lights flip. But dont count on the harvest time posted by the breeder. Different lights,environment ect could make the plant flower faster or slower. For example, i can usually finish an afghani in 55/60 days under my HID's yet will take 2 maybe 3 weeks longer with my CFL's. I try to yank it when most are cloudy with amber here and there after they swell up.

Amber to cloudy ratio give different types of smoke ........if you like a strong head high only go for cloudy and just a lil amber .......if you like being high and the couch lock body stoned feeling let the amber set in a lil more like mentioned above .....and I agree also counting doesn't do anything for when to harvest it varies .....I wish I could just count days and cut depending on suggested flowering time but no not that easy my friend lol

It depends upon strain, experience, and personal preference.
Through trial and error, I've found that Dr. Greenthumb's Bubba OG is better for me when it's harvested at about 40% amber. But Satori is better for me harvested at the first sign of amber.
If you're trying a new strain for the first time, I'd suggest harvesting one cola at 10% amber, another at 20% amber, and so on to 40% amber. Then you can see for yourself and pick your preference for that strain.

Yeah i wish it was like that too lol but I think I like the couch lock high but Ima harvest it little by little to find out
