Usually you want them to be about a foot, that's when I started my flowering due to them tripling in size when they flower!

From "Buds For Less" the author flowered as early as 16 days or the 4th set of leaves. He flowered at these intervals I think at 4.5". His grow went 70 days or so and yielded 3oz. off a 2' plant.

You should read up on scrog as well as 12/12 from seed see which one you think will work best for your space.

All three comments above are right on point! You going to want to flower almost immediatley or just 12/12 from seed if your not going to train them. Some plants will really go crazy in flowering! Plus the quicker you weed out the males from the females the better! I would suggest looking into scrogg, lst, topping etc.. once you get through your first grow then start trying different techniques. good luck

Did you start them in "solo cups", or the containers they're in now? You always want to start small then transplant into a larger container, that way your root ball development can be much more compact. I know you have VERY limited space, but if you go from a solo cup to a one or two gallon container I think your plants will be more fruitful in the end. I am on my fourth grow in soil and the number one piece of advice I can give anyone starting out is that its all about the root ball health. Guys correct me if I am wrong. GL!
