When to start flushing?

So I'm on day 45 and I still haven't noticed any amber trichomes. When should I start the flush? Should I start once ive already started to notice trichomes? or should i start now? How much should I flush? My ladies are in 5 gal

Have they started to get frosty yet? Because my grow area is very cool....64 in the winter 67 in the summer so i tend to not count the weeks
It really helps to see the trichomes. (digital microscope, or one of those jewelers loops)... I wait till they are half white half clear before flushing.... (but i love the head buzz from those white trichomes) leave'm longer till they are mostly white if you after that narcotic effect :)

IMO- don't flush it stresses the plant to much. Use plain water a week or so before harvest.

Of course theyre frosty, theyre on day 45 of 12/12 ... And I stated that I haven't noticed any amber trichomes, they're half clear half milky.

Hmmm, i like this idea! i usually give each plant a gallon of water and i don't get much run off... Should i keep using the same amount? They're in 5 gallon bags
