When to start growing?

I live in Los Angeles and I started growing a plant around october, but after I put it outside it stopped growing. Now I'm waiting for the right time to start growing outdoors again because growing indoors is not really practical except for the first few weeks-month. Is it it a good idea to start germinating and growing indoors for now or wait a month or two for the weather to get warmer and days longer?

How big can you let them get is the question. You can pop seed on 4/20 straight outside and they will get plenty big for a 6 ft fence. most of the time to big. Or if height is no problem and you have the indoor space you can start inside anytime according to how much room you have. March first would be good. Anything you do vegg inside you have to be careful with them not going into flower with out supplemental lighting when you put them outside. Mid to late May is is about the earliest and still some strains will flower. Be sure to harden them off in the shade the first few days.

I started growing when I was about 12., but I think you mean what season. anyway, just google your local almanac and follow the schedule for tomatoes or tomatoes, depending on how you want to pronounce it. :bigjoint:

Tis the season for a new greenhouse! Just finished building a new 25' x 10' x 8' green house, and getting my first crop of the season going, and soon enough the next three there after. I average four crops per season here in Colorado, and sometimes if weather permits, a fifth crop. Given where you are, if you have the space indoors, you should be able to veg indoors and flower outdoors all year long.
