when to start nutrients

It depends on the medium you grow in. If soil, if it has nutrients built into it (which, usually is a bad idea starting out unless you have a soil that is expected to carry the plant all the way to the end with little help.). Usually people say after the first week. But, if you bought a potting mix like MiracleGro with a lot of nutrients in it, it will be a guessing game when to feed.

Which nutrients did you buy?

Yes to 3 weeks. 1/4 strength. Alternate plain watering. Stay at that dose....observe a couple more weeks before upping to one half strength. Strain will let you know what it likes. Some are heavy feeders, others are finnicky. I never go past 3/4 with other additives.

If it's soil, start adding nutrients after about a month. Soil should already have a lot of food in it when you start.

If it's hydro, you should start with 1.0-1.4 EC nutrient solution from day 1 if you don't want malnourished seedlings/clones.
