When to start using nutrients in a unfertilized soil?

Hey got a question.

Im using a soil mix I made up myself, and it has absolutely no fertz in it, as far as I know. When should I start using a small amount of nutes? Do I have to wait until those first rounded starter leaves fall off?

The plant is about 9 days old, from ungerminated seed, to now. And about 7 days since I put them in soil. how much longer should I wait ?

I know some people say wait a month, but is that only in soils with fertilizer already in it?

You sound like you answered your own question pretty accurately, a month sounds good but i'm a intermediate grower so get more advice, I put a handful of wormcastings in a small pot with good soil and kept it in that state for less then a month, then i translplanted into bigger pots and induced flowering nutes/12/12 schedule(basically just skipped any liquid veg formula you would need to add). 400 w hps, i am too scared to post pics but don't underestimate the ganja is all i have to say! those lil things will grow their hearts out for you even if your not a pro. (i used seed from kindbud i was smoking at the time) hope this helps :joint::neutral:

Normally I wait at least 2 weeks(5 to 6 nodes). After 2 weeks I start with a mild dose of Grow Big/Fox Farms... to go with the Fox Farms soil... At least 2 weeks... :joint:

If you have no nutes in your soil I say wait about a week or two to apply nutes. Start very low of course and work your self up. Document your grow so you know when and how much to add next time. Worm casting and compost tea's work great on seedlings that young. Start with 50 to 100 ppm on your seedlings and wait to see the difference. If slight nute burn then drop your ppm down. With no nutes in your soil you almost have to treat it as your growing in a soilless medium.
