When to stop topping outdoors

My assumption is that you can bend your plants all you want to stunt their vertical growth but could I still top some of the stretchier parts of my plants so the other parts catch up? Trying to keep an even canopy but more importantly ( or just as important) I'm trying to keep my plant short and stealthy. No signs of flowering yet. So to top or not to top? That is my question.

I'm not sure really. I would personally stop now, but people say they still have a lot of growth during flowering. I'll just bump your thread though, I know someone can tell you?

Depends we're your growing flowering is different times outdoors n different places. If your near California I'd get your last toppings in the next two to three weeks tops because they need time to recover, and floweringing starts mid August
