When to switch to flower? Is this plant too short?

I have some branches pulled down to open up the area so the new growth can get light. There are 2 branches from where I topped and then other 4 branches growing along the main stem. 2 very low branches that I haven't bothered with. Should I just remove the steaks that are spreading them out and let it do it's thing? Would that Make the growth uneven? If it is uneven, does it matter at this point?
These probably sound like really dumb questions. Thanks for replying. :)
Unless you're planning on devoting a fair amount of time to let the plant grow out, at this point, I would try and focus on trying to maximize the growth from the secondary shoots. Let them develop enough for a few nodes to form and then flip into flower.

**update** I switched to flower 6 days ago. It has really been growing. There are now so many branches, I don't know what to do next. Do I remove the new smaller growth? I tried to get pictures of what I am talking about. Its SCROGed so I just keep pushing them under the net as they stretch. 20191222_101442.jpg20191222_101442.jpgIf you look- you can see the new stems growing off of the first branches. I don't know if I leave them be or remove them so the buds will grow on the older, stronger branches or just leave it alone. I have been working so much lately I haven't had much time. I just water and go. Finally have a day off today. So I am hoping that whatever I need to do I can do today. Or it'll have to wait until the 31st. 20191222_101426.jpg

someone with more experience will probably chime in, I wait 2 weeks after the 12/12 flip then go in with snip and remove all the lower buds/branches I can see that aren't getting direct light. I still end up with some later on as they regrow but at least it eliminates some and gets airflow below the canopy.

At 6 days, I would just tuck and turn them for another week and evaluate then.

From what ive read and learnt id go with as above, youve still got another good week or so of stretch, keep weaving the net and once they have slowed right down on stretch trim, defoliate anything under the net that isnt going to get light

I'm betting a little longer. The growth is still symmetrical, opposite phyllotaxy.

Try and weave the tops through the screen. Make sure that the screen is filled. After the tops creep about 1 inch past the screen then flip 12/12 also what I do the same day of flip is remove everything below the net just leaving tops to inch past the screen. For that size tent you should have about 20-25 tops. You can tank me later noob bongsmilie

The 3 weeks after flipping is when I see the most growth. It's also the time I try and get the plant to spread out as much as I can get it to. It's also the time I'm looking at interior growth(how vigorous it is and how crowded it's getting) and do selective pruning to 'thin' out the jungle.
Be patient and just practice. That is how I learned to do anything.

UPDATE AND QUESTION
I think I'm at 5 weeks flower right now. I've lost track. I tried as best as I could to cover create a screen, but it didn't work out so well. Some of the branches are now very close to the light and I am wondering if i can lst them while in the stage of flower? I'd like to get them away from the light. Some are about 6 inches from it, but other are a good distance from them so if I raise the light I fear that the lower ones won't get enough. Also, some of them already have pistols turning orange. Is that a bad thing? I was thinking I had about 3 to 4 weeks left of flower. And finally,20200120_104013.jpg can I remove all of the fan leaves at this point?20200120_104027.jpg20200120_104013.jpg20200120_104027.jpg20200120_104033.jpg20200120_104043.jpg
