When to tell between a Male and a Female ?

Do you see the bulb in the middle of the first pic? It isn't easy to make out, but compare it to my pics (which are a littler easier considering the loupe used). It is more short and circular compared to the second pic which is more pointed (again not the easiest to make out). You have to look at the preflowers and not the stipules.

when you buy the seeds..... not that its always a 100% guarantee

i haven't needed to check for males even 2 yrs after buying and continuously re cloning the feminized seeds i ordered

for me i say eg seeds are for outdoor fem is for indoor. stuff wasting time and money with males. growing outdoors is close to free to killing off 10 male plants isnt so bad

I would if i were you. And then shift out the vigorus plant that grow well and start your own selection breeding program fir your own line.
That's what i did seeds sould be ready in 4-5weeks. It will be my F2. Maybe f3. Since i don't know if the breeding from the seeds my mom gave me were inbred or a hybride f1 cross. So i just take it has F2.
I also kept the male and clones from the more disirable femele pheno. Will maybe revedge the othe femels i kept for seed purpose since their structure came oute better then expected.

I'm just waiting for harvest to send sample to my friends so they can tell me the one they like best out if my three selection..
I'll more then likely file for lab testing to find iut which of the three female has better terpene and cannabinoids
I'll go up to F7 and then P1 the IBL that it will produce and will also backcross to the more vigorus male after i've stabalized the disirable traits that i'm seking. Ince tgat is done i'll expend the genepool with other strains... Sound like a really fun and much more rewarding project. Since i mainly give away my medecine ti friends when its ready. I make no profit and pay from my pocket for the love and sastisfaction growing and caring for plants brings me

You are so wrong.. Regular seeds are for people looking to expend their genepool or best suited for breeders and grower seeking great phenos.
Feminised seed or for plain for everyday growers in a schedual. Has nothing to do with indour or outdour preference. And if i were to choses femenized seed for outdour or indoor. I would choose them for outdours. If i were to grow male outours and my neibers would grow femele outdours every body that grows within a 5 miles radius would curse me every years... Seed breeding is espatially done indoors in closed environment. To limite damage pollent can do to local harvest or your own haverst. Regular seed are for lets say more advance growers.. Best stable genetics are in regular forms. Of course you can have feminized seed. But good breeders offers less feminized seeds in their collections and more regular. Its a chance for you to keep working their line and shift out a gem

You always have to donors into regular seed. Has for female. Its either two or one donors. If the plant was selfied then its one donor mulruplied by two which rwduce pheno hunt by 50%. Sees will still be diffrent. And will need to be backcross multiple times ro be more stable and leaning toward the selcted plants traits.. Breeding is fun. And can be much more complicated then just chuking pollens into a room

I'm at the fun part of the watching developpement.
how they developpe in size, and fille up from node to nodes. The different terpenes profiles and all and trichome formation.
So far so good.
I may have a 100 seed pods on a lower branch of my fav female.
Pistil haven't really started to turn yet other then the place i seeded.
I cannot tell. Very hard to see when you don't have the plant in your hands ti rotate and examine more. But this is a preflower. The male or female is not quite express yet. If you see more of these balls growing with in the next week at these location. Its most likely a male. But wait. Female then to only have one calyx growing in each side of leafs... And eventually two hairs will pop ojt of it... If you start seeing more ball and none show at least one set of hairs. Then you'll have your clue... Its very slow like we alla said. Sign can take op to 6 weeks from seeds event 8. And you'll always have this certain genetics that may need a few days into actual flowering. So selcting from preflowering is more recommended when you pheno hunt. Like grow 20 SEEDS but only intend on keeping a few. So the les vigor the deformed and mutant gets pull out early and then male has they show. Eventually you are left with a few candidate that you put under 12/12 and dispose of the unwanted in first weeks. So keep it till you are sure. But for now its still hard to tell and i'm leaning toward a 75/25. Male probility. No hairs no female.. But i was looking at the oil gland on your plant that look like trichomes. I assume the start to have some disting smell to it.. May favorit part. Smelling the oils ant terpenes tbat slowly developpes.

Anyhow just keep growing them if space is not an issues. If it turns out male you'll have plenty of room. Or put it in flowering a little earlier and keep vegding your other one. If filling up the space yku have is what you are after. This way if it a male your othe plant will keep on vedging to fill up it place when you discard of it. Thai way you don't loose out to much yield based on plant count.. A few extra week vedging on a few plant can easily compensate fir the lose of one plant discarded weeks before.

The only one I'd make a guess at is the last one looks like a girl maybe. Hard to really tell. Second to last looks more like a boy but again hard to tell.
tomorrow I'm gonna mark the containers 1 thru 4 , and get more pics and identify them to the containers . Whats weird is 2 are monsters at 12 " and big spread , the other 2 are 9 " and more tight together , all the same age

I've found boys grow taller faster than girls (typically)

edit: it makes sense, by being taller than the girls, it makes it easier to spread pollen across an entire field vs just the plant next to you.

I've read this , if that holds true , then I should have 2 females , out of 4 .

so these girls are 2 months old , flipped 3 of the 4 a week ago , I can see hairs on 2 of them , one was the biggest of the 2 bigger ones , and one was one of the 2 smaller ones .
But then I found this on the 2 of the bigger ones # 4 ,
