when to top?? {pics included}

shes about 2 weeks old, been in the DWC for 1 week now and has an amazing root system and a thick main stem.. id also like to clone the top if possible

hmmm ok, im jus trying to figure out where it'd benefit most to top.. i illustrated the earlier pic. do u think i should top above or below the 3rd internode line? and when i top it, should i trim off all the bottom growth of the cut to clone?

well i just topped her, i used uncle Ben's technique for 4 colas (above the 2nd node), and im a lil worried... i cut off like 70% of the plant, and now shes gushing water out of the open wound!

plants are pretty hardy, it'll survive that topping

even if the stem isn't long enough, capillary action should bring water to it.
 
kinda confused Well more blazed i guess, but r u guys referring to the stem of the chopped plant or the stem of the cutting from it?
 
with a root system like this for a 2 week old plant, shes gotta survive!!

im cloning it in a Rapid Rooter plug in a seedling tray with humidity dome.. the plug will keep the cutting moist
