When to transplant

Hi all, just starting a run of photos and was wondering, do you transplant straight from a small pot to the final pot or should I increase pot size in stages?

Supposedly you get better root development doing graduated container sizes. But what a pain in the ass. Check roots on your transplant candidate. If a lot are showing just go to final containers. And be sure to not overwater!

I like to graduate my babies, and it is a pain, but overwatering isnt usually a problem.
My roots are typically showing at the bottom of the pot within days of up potting, i only repot when watering becomes frequent. Final pots a few weeks before 12/12
